Teshie, Accra – April 2025 — As part of its ongoing commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery at the community level, Rokmer Pharma Ltd took part in the April edition of the Over-the-Counter Medicine (OTCM) Sellers Association meeting in Teshie, bringing valuable product insights, direct engagement, and renewed partnership with grassroots medicine vendors.
The initiative forms part of Rokmer Pharma’s nationwide strategy to improve pharmaceutical access, education, and trust by connecting directly with OTC sellers—the frontline in Ghana’s informal healthcare sector.
Meet the Team Behind the Outreach
The company was well-represented by a proactive team led by:
-
Mr. Bright Oppong – Head of Operations
-
Mr. Daniel Taylor – Medical Sales Representative
-
Eunice Maame Mantey – Assistant Sales Manager (Teshie)
-
Sidel Churcher – Sales Representative (Ashaiman)
Each member brought valuable insights and provided hands-on product demonstrations, sales support tools, and technical guidance on how to recommend appropriate medications based on symptoms, safety, and dosage.
“Teshie is a key hub for informal medicine access. We’re here to empower those sellers who hold the trust of thousands of residents,” said Eunice Maame Mantey, who also oversees sales in the area. “Their success in turn ensures the health of the communities they serve.”
Interactive Education and Sales Empowerment
During the meeting, Rokmer Pharma hosted an interactive session where sellers asked questions about product use, storage conditions, and customer preferences. The team provided free samples, printed product guides, and quick reference flyers to help sellers feel more confident and informed.
Special attention was given to popular household medicines, pain relievers, multivitamins, children’s health products, and hygiene solutions. The emphasis was on how sellers can educate customers at the point of sale, building long-term trust and safety.
Why This Matters to the Community
Many Teshie residents rely on OTC medicine sellers for their everyday health needs—from treating common colds to managing minor injuries. By supporting sellers with training and product support, Rokmer Pharma ensures that communities are better served with safe, effective, and well-understood medicines.
“You can’t underestimate the role of the medicine seller in neighborhoods like ours,” said one participant. “Having companies like Rokmer Pharma come down to our level and teach us helps us do our job better.”
Commitment Beyond the Sale

Plans are already underway to expand this grassroots engagement to other OTCM associations..
This outreach is part of a broader program designed by Rokmer Pharma to build strong partnerships, not just customer lists. By showing up month after month, listening, and equipping sellers with knowledge and tools, the company reinforces its vision of a healthier Ghana powered by community collaboration.
Plans are already underway to expand this grassroots engagement to other OTCM associations in the Greater Accra Region and beyond.
